SFITEX, the largest International Security and Fire exhibition
in the North West of Russia, which takes place in St
Petersburg, on 15-18 November 2011, is now entering
its 20th edition. For the past 19 years, SFITEX has built a
reputation as an established industry event, at which leading
domestic and international companies present the latest equipment,
technology and developments in almost every area of the security
industry.
As Russia is hosting two upcoming international sporting events,
the Winter Olympics in 2014 and the World Cup in 2018, security has
come to the forefront of the Russian government's attention. The
January 2011 suicide bombing at Moscow's Domodedovo airport
demonstrated the need for investment and planning for this
area.
