Fire Detectors And Sounders Easily Fitted To False Ceilings With New Mounting Box
Apollo's new ceiling tile mounting box allows bases for fire and
smoke detectors and sounders to be fitted, wired, tested and
commissioned quickly and easily prior to the addition of a false
ceiling. When the false ceiling is in position the mounting box is
simply slotted into place without disturbing the wiring. A separate
back box is not required, as it forms part of the mounting box, and
detector heads can be fitted to the bases prior to
installation.
The device can be used with ceiling tiles up to 25mm thick.
Moulded springs on the back of the mounting box automatically
adjust to the tile's thickness, while plastic blades embedded in
the back of the tile secure it into position.
The mounting box includes three M20 and two M25 knock-outs and a
guide showing the size of hole that should be cut in the ceiling
tile. If the hole is cut too big, the device includes slots that
allow it to be screwed onto the tile.
The product is available with one of two different-sized
retaining rings, one for use with Apollo detector bases 45681-309
and another for sounder bases 45681-310.
